Zoom Motor-sport

Friday, April 25th, 2008

It was our pleasure to have the oppurtunity to interview one of the most courageous and dedicated families of motorcycle drag racing.
Zack & Kenny Harrison of Zoom motor-sports have over 12 years of experience starting with Zack driving a 1977 Oldsmobile 442. Zack turned pro in the 2007 NOPI at the Firebird raceway with Zoom motor-sports 2004 Suzuki Hayabusa running in the Pro street bike class.

This beast of a bike is set up to run 7 seconds @ 190 MPH with 1300 CC’s with nitro. These Texas natives have traveled all over the United States and Canada perfecting this art that hasn’t always had it’s rewards. In the 2006 NOPI, Zack crashed resulting in a broken back but returned again to the track to capture first place trophies in the Imports Vs. Domestics at the Speedway raceway for the Fastest Motorcycle, the Budweiser Shootout, Fastest street bike shootout (2 time winner) Team firebirds 3 time defending champion, Number 1 qualifier at NOPI and qualifying 3rd at NHRA.

Zack now 26, races 12 months out of the year and has taken extra steps to be a advocate of motorcycle safety on and off the race track. With the 70″ Outlaw Suzuki street bike (Street tires and no wheelie bar), his new born son Ayden and his (Always confident) father/ crew chief Kenny, Zack says ” It’s all about healthy competition and having fun. The better they get the harder we must work to try and stay ahead of the competion”.
